Espérance de Vi(ll)e questions our place on the timeline. Who lived here before us? Whose ancestors will we be? This performance recounts the past, present and future history of a building in the Paris suburbs, through the lives of its successive inhabitants.

The KMK company has chosen to base its writing on the reality of a former farmhouse on the outskirts of a large city, currently an artists' residence, which will soon be demolished to make way for another project. Through the singular evolution of this building and the evocation of the lives that have inhabited it and those to come, the creation echoes the urban transformations common to suburban cities in metropolises."
