Comfortably installed in a shared vehicle (8 seats) with a private chauffeur-accompanier, set off in complete tranquillity to discover our various exclusive routes! Let yourself be guided for a day or half-day around the Ile-de-Ré, Marais Poitevin, Rochefort and Brouage, the Vendée and the nuggets of the Rochel area. An ideal offer for visitors looking for transport and guidance around La Rochelle.

1. What is La Rochelle Ocean Van?
➡️ Turnkey excursions in an electric van for a day or a morning. You can choose from 6 excursions, 3 full-day and 3 half-day. You can discover La Rochelle and the surrounding area (Marais Poitevin, Ile de Ré, Rochefort, Brouage, etc.) in the company of our private driver, who will accompany and guide you throughout the excursion. Alone, as a couple or with friends, you can reserve one or more seats, as the van has a maximum of 8. The van is shared with other visitors, but it is possible to make it your own by calling us in advance.
2. How can I book my tour?
➡️ You can book your tour via the online ticketing service or directly at the La Rochelle Tourist Office (please note that bookings for the following day close at 4.30pm on the previous day).
3. What does a day or half-day consist of?
➡️ Days or half-days are organised around a number of themes: gastronomy, local culture, nature, history, heritage and must-do activities. Everything is organised in advance, so you don't have to do a thing!
4. Will I be alone in the van?
➡️ No, the excursions offered in the van are shared with other visitors. If your group is made up of 8 people, you will only be with your family and friends. It is even possible to rent the van privately on request by contacting the Tourist Office.
5. Will my excursion be cancelled if it rains?
➡️ Depending on the weather forecast, we reserve the right to cancel a tour or not. It is entirely possible to postpone it to another date if visitors so wish.
6. Are there any options for intolerant/allergic/vegetarian people for the meals included?
➡️ We do our utmost to accommodate all dietary requirements for meals included in day trips, whether in restaurants or during picnics. However, it is necessary to specify this when booking at: ot.accueil@larochelle-tourisme-evenements.com
7. Do I have to cycle the routes?
➡️ For the "Le Marais Poitevin en barque et à vélo avec un unique guide" tour, yes, as almost the whole day is spent by bike (although it's not an athletic day, as there are plenty of stops and the tour is on flat ground).
8. Are the excursions accessible to people with disabilities?
➡️ Due to technical constraints, it is unfortunately not suitable for people with reduced mobility. However, the Tourist Office can offer you many other adapted routes in the area: to find out more, we invite you to consult our Accessibility Guide, which will inspire you to stay with us.
