Conference - Lutter contre le cancer grâce aux espèces sauvages
Aquarium La Rochelle
17000 - La Rochelle
The Aquarium is delighted to welcome Kévin Baranger and Mathieu Giraudeau, both research fellows at CNRS (LIENSs), for a free conference on the fight against cancer thanks to wild species.
Cancer is a pathology found throughout the multicellular branches of the phylogenetic tree of living organisms. The study of this pathology in wild species appears to be a promising avenue of research, as the few studies using species other than the classic model species have already identified natural mechanisms of resistance to cancer.

Aquarium La Rochelle is delighted to welcome Kévin Baranger (CNRS research fellow, LIENSs, studying the contribution of enzymes to inflammatory processes, using biochemical, cellular and molecular biology and pharmacological approaches) and Mathieu Giraudeau (CNRS research fellow, LIENSs, co-director of the Wildlife Cancer Evolution Research Group WiCanE, focusing on the ecology and evolution of cancer in wildlife).

The conference is free and open to all, subject to availability.
