MM Festival
Classical music From Tuesday 30 September to Sunday 5 October 2025.
The MM Festival was founded in 2017 in La Rochelle by il Convito under the direction of musician Maude Gratton. Behind the mystery and musicality of the two "M "s lies a singular way of discovering so-called classical music.
The MM will celebrate its 8th edition from September 24 to 29, 2024. It will feature Tasto Solo, an extraordinary collective of musicians rediscovering once-forgotten medieval music, and the Hathor Consort, delicately exploring the musical traditions of Syria and Turkey.
il Convito, with singers Maïlys de Villoutreys and Marine Fribourg, takes us on a journey through dazzling 17th-century Europe, while harpsichordist Brice Sailly traces the origins of a mysterious manuscript from La Rochelle. The two worlds will cross with the "La lumière, ma compagne" exhibition by cellist and photographer Emmanuel Jacques, set to music by Les Basses Réunies and Bruno Cocset.
