Event - Foire aux Oignons

On Place Notre Dame, at the foot of the 14th-century fortified keep that is the pride of Thairé, come and enjoy the concerts on offer: mixed music with West African influences with Badegna Foli, from Mali, Mayenne and Brittany, on 14/08 at 9pm, energetic reggae with the freshness of World Music with Stabar, a group from Nantes, on 15/08 at 9pm, and finish these two evenings with Johan and Nina Ly, two wild DJs from Aunis.
A team of volunteers, whose smiles and good humour will make you forget that the end of summer is fast approaching, will welcome you to the catering area. You'll be able to sample quality products and regional specialities, to the pop-rock sounds of Rock-Elle on 14/08 at 7pm, with Lya on 15/08 at 12pm, a singer from La Rochelle with a voice that reminds you of a certain Patricia Kaas, or the fun and original repertoire mixing rock, pop or RnB standards with more confidential nuggets from OK JO, a 100% Charente-Maritime group, on 15/08 at 7pm.
And to whet your appetite, why not take part in the walks around the village on 14/08 at 4pm and 15/08 at 8:30am.
And don't forget the events organized in the streets and parks of the village on 15/08: a craft market where the onion is king, a garage sale, an exhibition of vintage vehicles, all orchestrated by the Confrérie du Saint Oignon and animated by the Troupe Nymané from Pons.
