Conference - Le témoignage des résistants déportés en milieu scolaire

Former members of the Resistance and deportees spoke to young people to honor the memory of their fallen comrades, to underline the importance of their commitment to fighting Nazism and opposing it with the democratic ideal, to counter negationist theories, and to warn of the dangers of today's world: vigilance against the rise of hatred and violence! Their testimonies enabled students to discover the reality of the Resistance and the concentration camp world, fed the work of those taking part in the National Resistance and Deportation Competition, and were sometimes the prelude to educational trips to the camps, ultimately forging a civic and republican spirit in these future adults. The last witnesses are disappearing, but their words live on... on film and on paper!
