Going back in time 25 years... It was during a trip to Martinique that Nelly decided to create the Saoufé bar in the heart of La Rochelle. She fell in love with the friendliness of the Martinique people and opened a rum bar to share this culture with the people of La Rochelle. A place of life and entertainment, Saoufé, which means "How are you?" in Creole, became a mythical place in the Old Port of La Rochelle.
