Exhibition - Créatures encrées - Charlotte Massip

A joyful yet desperate search for her own body, the obligatory container of a being threatened by too many temptations... Charlotte, a worker and therapist of herself, chisels and adorns, figures or disfigures, scatters or assembles, dissects or mechanizes her own remains, present or future.

"I believe I was led to drawing and engraving by my fascination with detail.
Not just any detail, but the one that opens the way to a deeper truth.

"I love etching, because its delicate scalpel-like incisions have something of the surgical gesture, clean, with no return. For me, the bite of metal is like an operation that begins on the skin and continues in the ink-and-blood obscurities of the material."

Introductory engraving workshops for all (free admission) on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 3pm to 5pm.
