Exhibition - Quais rochelais, Jean Gaillard

In 2009, the heritage department of La Rochelle's Médiathèque Michel Crépeau received a donation of over twenty-five thousand negatives by Jean Gaillard, illustrating a decade of work.

The Quais Rochelais exhibition is a non-exhaustive selection from this collection, highlighting the lives of fishermen, sorters, carpenters, dockers and yachtsmen. A body of black-and-white photographs taken on the quays of La Rochelle in the 1950s and 1960s.
