La Platère beach

On the commune of Angoulins, in the south of the almost island, the beach of Platère is nestled in a preserved area, between the Pointe de la Belette and the Pointe des Chirats.
It is a beautiful sandy beach, shaped like a crescent moon. Ideal for families.

It is located near the oyster marshes of the Pointe du Chay. For the anecdote It is not uncommon to see horsemen at low tide.

The lifeguard station is open according to the tides (be careful, you can't swim at low tide).
The lifeguard station is equipped with : toilets and showers accessible, and also : slipway, nautical center, bars and restaurants nearby, media library at the beach (loan of newspapers and books).

Animals are not allowed on the beach from June 1st to September 30th. Please refer to the municipal decree.
