For You/Not For You is a solo that can be read in both directions. Using a bifrontal set-up, Solène Wachter organizes the gaze of spectators facing each other as she pleases: constantly changing address, with no concern for fairness, reversing reading frames and situations, playing on frustration as much as on our sense of belonging, the dancer-choreographer chisels out a striking, spectacular, disorientating solo, where harsh lighting cuts up space as much as it glorifies it. For You/Not For You is two shows in one, for two audiences. Heads or tails? Who saw what? Was it the same show?
