Just a 15-minute walk from the historical centre of La Rochelle, the marina is a perfect port of call for all boaters: links to the city centre with buses and the solarelectric sea bus; there is also a cycle path and a marked footpath. On foot or by bike, the Allée des Tamaris, from the Vieux Port, is perfect for a seaside walk in the salty air, at the end of which you’ll reach the Minimes Marina. While you’re there, you could cross the “Nelson Mandela” footbridge, to get to the new “New World” seawall: the perfect opportunity to “walk on water” and gaze at the coming and going of boats! La Rochelle is counted amongst the major world ports with a capacity for 5,000 boats. With 450 individual visitor berths, 90 are in the Vieux Port, right in the heart of the city.
